Workers seek financial wellness, prompting employer support
One in three seek financial wellness workshops from employers.
Beyond physical and mental health, Singaporean workers now focus on financial wellness, prompting employers to support financial literacy improvement.
Data from a joint report from Endowus and Intellect showed that one in three workers desire greater workplace support through financial wellness workshops (34%), personal finance interest groups (33%), and financial literacy training sessions (34%).
Amongst age groups, millennials (35%) are the most interested in receiving financial wellness workshops and financial literacy training.
The report stressed that employer involvement in enhancing employees' financial readiness is essential for keeping them engaged and loyal.
Findings from the report revealed that 82% of workers feel more satisfied in their jobs with good financial preparedness, whilst 78% believe it reduces distractions and boosts productivity.
Moreover, 71% of employees are less likely to think about leaving their jobs if their employers provide support for financial preparedness.
