Who should be responsible for digital upskilling?
The majority wants government or IT to be responsible for digitalisation.
Singaporeans revealed that either the government or the IT industry should take responsibility for the adoption of digitalisation in workplaces.
In a study by Reeracoen, 30% of Gen Xs and Baby Boomers said digitalisation is the responsibility of the government, which is closely followed by IT (29%), and either HR or everyone (17%). Whilst the remaining felt that it should be their own responsibility.
For Generation Y, IT (33%) should pave the way for digitalisation, followed by the government (21%) and everyone (21%). Whilst the rest felt that it should be HR’s responsibility followed by themselves.
