UBS floats new learning platform SUPER
This aims to create 300 new jobs in the financial sector.
UBS has set up the learning platform Singapore UBS Program for Employability and Resilience (SUPER) with the aim to help graduates and mid-career individuals develop sustainable skills in the financial sector, the financial services company announced.
UBS is partnering with the government’s job support scheme to develop the programme to create 300 new jobs in the industry, according to Edmund KOH, UBS President Asia Pacific.
SUPER aims to help job-seekers navigate a challenging job market over the next 18 months and create a pipeline of financial talent for the future of Singapore. It will also provide training and job opportunities for fresh graduates and mid-career professionals to equip them with skills and experiences for the recovery phase following the pandemic.
UBS employs almost 3,000 people in Singapore, and with the additional platform, it is said to take on an additional 10% of their existing workforce, said August Hatecke, UBS Singapore Country Head and Co-Head of Wealth Management Asia Pacific.
Apart from the SUPER programme, UBS also has its ongoing graduate trainee programme and undergraduate summer internships, which will continue to run as usual.
