A third of workers expect salaries to climb 3-6%
Fortunately, nearly half of employers also intend to raise salaries by 3-6%.
Three in 10 workers expect a 3-6% increase in salary, whilst 11% do not expect any increase at all, recruitment firm Hays Plc said.
According to a survey, about 23% expect a salary hike of up to 3%.
On the upside, nearly half of employers or 49% intend to increase workers' salaries by 3-6%, higher than the Asian average of 40%.
About 31% intend to raise pay by up to 3%, whilst 6% do not intend to increase salaries at all.
Meanwhile, 46% of workers saw their salaries climb by 3-6% in 2017, higher than the Asian average of 40%
Amongst the respondents, 32% enjoyed a nearly 3% salary increase, 7% had their pay hike by 6-10%, whilst 8% did not see an increase at all.
Only 7% of workers had salary increases of 6-10%, significantly lower than the Asian average of 17%.
