Tech jobs no longer lead Best Jobs list in Singapore

The rankings consider salary, employer demand, and consistent growth in job postings.

Tech jobs have experienced a decline on Singapore's Best Jobs list for 2024 compared to the previous year, according to hiring platform Indeed.

In 2023, nine out of the top twenty spots were occupied by tech-focused roles, whilst in 2024, only software engineers made the cut.

The rankings considered salary, employer demand, and consistent growth in job postings from 2021 to 2024.

Leading the list of the best jobs in Singapore is director of communications, followed by tax managers, recruitment managers, senior mechanical engineers, and procurement managers rounding up the top five positions. Engineering roles dominate the list, comprising 25% of the top jobs.

Amongst the occupations experiencing the most significant growth in job postings over the past three years are software engineers (122%), tax managers (106%), and clinic managers (85%). Quantity surveyors (6,912), project engineers (6,695), and accountants (3,948) witnessed the highest number of postings per one million total jobs.

Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
