Talent mismatch shrank by 8% in May
The results were slightly higher than those of the US and Canada.
Talent mismatch in Singapore, defined as the imbalance between job seekers and postings, has narrowed by 8% over the past four years to 36% in May 2019, job site Indeed revealed.
The results were comparable to that of the United Kingdom, but lower than Australia's and slightly higher than those of the United States and Canada.
The role with the biggest shortage of talent is software engineer, followed by sales executive then business development manager. Indeed noted that this is less of a problem for the nation, which has an unemployment rate of 2.2%.
Meanwhile, the job with the biggest shortage of job opportunities is customer service representative (CSR), followed by driver then teacher.
