Software engineers earning higher salaries: study
Managers have a median base pay of up to $13,750.
Amidst technology downturn, a Nodeflair study showed that software engineers are earning increasingly higher pay, with junior engineers receiving a median base salary of $5,000.
The mid-level engineers’ wages are even higher, up to $7,000 and $8,000 respectively. For managers, the median base salary reaches $13,750.
There is also a disparity between top earners and those at the bottom of the ladder, with the former earning up to three times more than the latter.
Junior engineers at the 90th percentile can now expect to earn $8,500 (up from S$7,500), whilst mid-level and senior engineers can earn up to S$11,000 and S$12,000, respectively. Principal software engineers can have a base salary of $19,000 (up from $17,000).
