Singaporeans believe their employers are open to diversity issues: study

There is still a lot of room for growth, though.

About 52% of employees in Singapore believe their organizations are responsive to feedback on diversity issues, with around a third saying they are committed to creating a diverse team, according to a survey by foundit.

Its findings showed that more than half of the respondents have diversity training programs within their companies, with 36% saying these are mandatory. Less than a quarter said they gained significant awareness from these trainings while 30% did not see any improvement.

Company feedback on diversity issues highlighted a positive trend in organisational communication and action on concerns, according to foundit.

Meanwhile, employees believe their organisations are adopting different strategies to ensure equal opportunities, including: conducting interviews in diversity-friendly spaces, inviting applications from diverse communities, providing anti-bias training and consistently committing to diversity hiring goals.

Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
