Singapore ranks 28th on the list of best countries to work remotely

Digital and physical infrastructure makes SG an appealing remote work destination.

Singapore emerged as one of the top remote work destinations in the world, ranking 28th in NordLayer’s Global Remote Work Index (GRWI).

Countries in the index are ranked based on their cyber safety, economic safety, digital and physical infrastructure, and social safety.

Singapore ranked first in the digital and physical infrastructure category with a score of 0.900.

It also ranked high in cyber safety, placing 25th with a score of 0.801.

Despite having the fourth-best internet quality in the world and excellent cybersecurity infrastructure, Singapore still has a lot of room for improvement until it becomes a perfect work destination. 

Economic safety-wise, Singapore still needs a lot of growth, coming in at 68 (0.658) in the global index overall. It also needs to improve the country’s social safety, ranking 40th with a score of 0.746.
