OCBC launches COVID-19 vaccine support programme for employees

The bank will provide vaccine education as well as support for side effects.

OCBC has rolled out its COVID-19 vaccination support programme for its employees in Singapore, including its subsidiaries, a statement read.

The bank has engaged medical experts to educate its employees about the vaccine to provide a channel to raise questions and concerns and to make an informed decision on whether to be vaccinated or not.

Once an employee has decided to take the vaccine, the employee will be granted a day off on the day of each vaccination, private taxi reimbursement to and from the vaccination clinics, and additional two days of medical leave in case of side effects.

The employee will also be reimbursed for medical fees arising from side effects, and they will be allowed to work remotely for one week after vaccination.

Customised initiatives will also be rolled out for employees in OCBC’s other core markets once the vaccine is rolled out in these countries.

The programme is an extension of the bank’s COVID-19 Care Package launched in March 2020.
