NTU ranks 38th globally in 2020 US News & World Report university rankings
The university also placed first internationally in three subjects.
Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has moved up five spots to 38th place internationally and has eight subjects ranked amongst the global top 10, according to the US News & World Report’s university rankings in 2020.
Overall, NTU has climbed 87 places from the 125th spot since the US News & World Report rankings began in 2014.
The university debuted at the top spot for newly introduced subjects Energy & Fuels and Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, whilst it stayed at the top spot for Materials Science for the fourth consecutive year.
NTU is also ranked in the global top 10 for Engineering (3rd), Chemical Engineering (3rd), Chemistry (4th), Electrical & Electronic Engineering (4th), and Computer Science (7th).
Meanwhile, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering retained their positions in the global top 50, at 13th nd 33rd, respectively.
Other NTU subjects in the global top 100 include Arts and Humanities (78th), Biotechnology & Applied Microbiology (82nd), and Economics and Business (97th).
