New option for mid-career HR training in Singapore
The public-private partnership aims to enhance the people management skills of Singapore's professional workforce.
Korn Ferry has joined forces with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to launch a new course for developing "business-ready" HR professionals in Singapore.
Launched today under the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme, the Company Training for Business-Ready Human Resource Professionals is a six-month full-time training course designed to equip about 200 participants with industry-relevant and work-ready skills for a successful mid-career switch into HR and peopled management.
Designed by Korn Ferry Academy, the course aims to equip participants with market-relevant and practical skillsets through a series of lectures, interactive webinars and in-class sessions with selected institutes of higher learning; fireside chats with HR leaders; guided project work; and more.
Tonny Loh, Head of Korn Ferry Academy and Senior Client Partner, Korn Ferry, said now was the perfect time to consider a career change into a growing field. “In times of profound change, there has never been any doubt that human capital is the most valuable resource in any organisation. The flywheel of business transformation rests on HR professionals to marshal this resource effectively," he said.
"This is the only professional programme in Singapore developed and delivered by senior HR practitioners and consultants who truly understand and have executed business transformation to enable participants to help their leaders accelerate this agenda.”
Ong Tze-Ch’in, CEO of SSG, said HR functions were critically for every organisation in Singapore, "particularly in an era where we see radical shifts in the workplace".
Applications are now open and the course will run in seven cohorts progressively starting from 25 January 2021.
