LinkedIn unveils top 15 best companies in SG for career growth

Financial services companies dominated this year’s list.

Unilever ranked first in the second edition of LinkedIn’s Top Companies for employees seeking to grow their careers.

Financial services also dominated in this year’s list with Standard Chartered Bank ranking 2nd, Prudential plc at third, OCBC Bank at number 4, and DBS Bank landing on the fifth spot.

Several companies also made their debut on the list namely Alphabet Inc. (#6), Abbott (#7), Grab (#10), AIA (#13) and JPMorgan Chase & Co (#15).

Other companies on the list were Accenture (#8), Sea (#9), IBM (#11), EY (#13), and Roche (#14).

According to LinkedIn, companies were ranked based on seven pillars, each revealing an important element of career progression: ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity, gender diversity and spread of educational backgrounds.

When looking at the common ground of the companies included in the list, LinkedIn said those in the top 15 offer flexible work like Unlver and DBS Bank; and provide upskilling opportunities to their employees like Standard Chartered, Prudential, OCBC Bank, and DBS Bank.
