JobStreet: 51% of companies plan on-site work in 2024
It is a slight decline from the 55% in the previous year.
Around 51% of companies are expected to require employees to work on-site in 2024, a slight decline from 55% in the previous year, according to a JobStreet report.
This is due to the “higher uncertainty” expected as there is an increasing preference for a flexible workplace amongst employees.
“Companies may consider adopting this flexibility to attract talent, especially from in-demand sectors such as technology,” the report read.

Around 17% are predicted to have some employees fully at the workplace and some remotely depending on job function, down from 20% in 2023.
The report also found that 15% have not decided yet, up from 4% in the previous year, whilst 10% are requiring employees to fully work on-site for a few days and other days remotely.
About 5% of companies aim to have employees in rotation between the workplace and work remotely, whilst only 3% target their workers to work remotely fully.
