INSEAD taps Kristin Skogen Lund as new chairperson of board of directors

She will work with INSEAD's dean and board to oversee the school’s global strategy.

INSEAD has announced the appointment of Kristin Skogen Lund as the new chairperson of its board of directors, effective 1 September.

Lund will succeed Andreas Jacobs, who has held the position since 2015 and is stepping down after completing three full terms, spanning a decade.

In her new role, Lund will collaborate with INSEAD's dean and fellow board members to oversee the school's global strategy.

Bringing over two decades of executive leadership experience, Lund served as the CEO of Schibsted ASA and as director general of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise. Her previous roles include executive vice president at Telenor, CEO of various Schibsted brands, and management positions at multinational corporations such as Coca-Cola Company and Unilever. 

Lund also contributed to numerous boards, including Ericsson, Orkla, Adevinta, and Autostore, and held significant positions in international commissions and committees, notably as president of the European Tech Alliance and chair of Norway's Pension Reform Committee.

Moreover, Lund received her master of business administration in July 1992 at INSEAD, following her undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon. She will be the fourth INSEAD alumnus to assume the role of chairperson of the board.
