Employment rate of graduates declines in 2022
Over 93% were employed according to the latest poll.
The percentage of employed graduates within six months decreased last year to over 93% last year from 94% in 2021, figures from the government showed.
A joint graduate employment survey of 15,984 fresh and 1,138 follow-up graduates from National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, and Singapore University of Social Science was conducted in November 2022.
The average of those who have full-time permanent jobs was at 88.09%.
“Full-time permanent employment refers to employment of at least 35 hours a week and where the employment is not temporary. It includes those on contracts of one year or more,” read the survey.
The median monthly wage also increased to $4,050 in 2022 from $3,761 in 2021. In 2020, median monthly wage was at $3,700.
