Chart of the Day: Re-entry rate of production and related workers dipped to 73% in Q3
The overall six-month re-entry rate rose to 65%.
This chart from the Ministry of Manpower (MoM) revealed that the six-month re-entry rate amongst retrenched workers in the production & related industry declined to 72.8% in Q3 2019 from 75.4% in Q2, the first time after rising for three quarters.
Islandwise, the six-month re-entry rate amongst retrenched residents was 65%, rising from the previous quarter (60%) and a year ago (62%). Most age, education, and occupational sub-groups reflected increases.
Retrenchments grew to 2,430 from 2,320 in the previous quarter, but declined on a YoY basis from 2,860.
