CDC and SingLand invest in youth education with DOTS Academy launch

The parties each contributed $250,000 to fund the programme.

Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC) and SingLand launched the DOTS Academy @ Central to provide diverse learning opportunities and coaching to 1,000 youths.

As part of the academy's launch, the parties also rolled out the "I Am Talented" initiative, which promotes self-discovery and inspires excellence in academic and non-academic areas.

Over 200 individuals attended the workshops on 18 and 25 May, and around 50 participants and mentors engaged in the career exploration and mentoring training sessions.

In addition, the academy offers career exploration workshops, mentoring sessions to support development and school-to-work transitions, educational workshops, field trips, and other ad-hoc learning experiences.

DOTS Academy @ Central prioritises individuals with disadvantaged backgrounds, including those who may not have access to such opportunities.
