4 out of 5 SG employees go to office to connect with colleagues
But more than half said they chose a salary increase more than establishing worker ties.
Four out of five workers in Singapore with flexible start and finish times (95%) chose to go into the office to communicate more efficiently with their colleagues, data from HubSpot's Hybrid Work Report revealed.
However, 24% of the employees sensed a lack of inclusion and belonging, whilst 29% felt their managers did not support them. 59% of remote workers said the lack of in-person time with their bosses impacted their career development.
48% want their companies to invest in team-building events to rebuild their community and deepen connections.

In terms of their form of communication at work, 35% still prefer email.
Meanwhile, HubSpot revealed that more than half of the employees in Singapore (56%) would prioritise a 10% salary increase over establishing relationships with their co-workers, whilst 44% put more importance on the latter.
More than 34% said the relationships with their colleagues motivated them to stay, despite 54% of the employees wanting to leave their roles in 2023, with 71% reporting that having a close friend in the office affected their decision.
