Kaplan Singapore partners with Northumbria University in UK

Almost 40 programmes will be offered by Northumbria University to Singaporean students who want to study in UK or Australia.

According to a release, students in Singapore keen to take up tertiary courses at renowned overseas universities will soon have the choice between both a well-respected U.K. as well as an Australian university.

Kaplan Singapore announced a strategic tie-up with Northumbria University in the UK today. Close to 40 programmes, from highly sought-after business courses to offerings in communications, fashion and design will be offered by Northumbria University to students in this region on a progressive basis.

Students to benefit from the strengths of both Education Partners

The programmes under the Kaplan-Northumbria partnership will be introduced in two phases. In 2012 this partnership will offer 538 places for students. Kaplan Singapore and Northumbria University expect to expand enrollment in Singapore to 2,500 places by 2015. In addition, students holding a Kaplan Global Diploma will also qualify for direct admission to the second year of Northumbria’s Business undergraduate programmes. To date, 19 programme offerings have been registered with the Council for Private Education.
