The 7th SBR Management Excellence Awards is now accepting nominations

Deadline for entries is on 29 October 2021.

Managing the threats brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic is critical for business survival. As the crisis has disrupted operations, companies across multiple industries have faced significant revenue losses and growth contraction. However, decision-makers and executives that know how to manage the risks and cope with volatility are able to see opportunities to thrive amidst this critical period and provide support both for the company and its employees.

The Singapore Business Review recognises this and, thus, formally opens the nominations for the seventh instalment of the Management Excellence Awards.

Nomination is open to top-level executives, innovative individuals, and dynamic teams who launched successful and notable new projects or innovations, as well as employee engagement initiatives that boost employees' motivation and drive at work.

The award categories that will be given for each industry include Executive of the Year, Innovator of the Year, Team of the Year, Employee Engagement of the Year, and COVID Management Initiative of the Year.

“We are very humbled and honoured by this award. It was a rewarding process, it really gave us a lot of meaning for existence. I think this award is symbolic in a way that the community is letting us know that we've done a great job and our focus was the right thing to do and in the right areas. So we take this as an encouragement to do better as we continue to move forward into 2021,” said James Chang, CEO of Lazada Singapore Pte Ltd.

Lazada Singapore has won the COVID Management Initiative of the Year - Retail Award for aiding retrenched workers to find a new job amidst a backdrop of an economic recession that forced many businesses to downsize their headcounts.

Past winners also include top-level executives, teams, and outstanding employee engagement initiatives from Gardens by the Bay,  Astra Zeneca, Tokio Marine Insurance, SP Digital, Pan Pacific Hotels, Kaspersky, UOL, OCBC Bank, ARA Asset Management, BreadTalk Group, AIA, The Fullerton Hotels, Great Eastern Life Assurance, and many more.

Nominations are open until 29 October 2021. A panel consisting of thought leaders and industry experts will carefully evaluate each entry.

The awards presentation will take place on 30 November 2021.
