Unemployment rate improves by 0.3% in South Korea
As the country gives ruling conservatives a slight edge in the parliament.
According to the OCBC Daily Treasury Outlook, the ruling conservatives have claimed a slim majority in the parliament, after winning 152 of 300 seats in the election. While this is a drop from the previous 162 seats, the win by New Frontier Party boosts the presidential hopes of its chairwoman, Park Geun-Hye. Meanwhile, unemployment rate fell to a seasonally adjusted 3.4% in March, down from 3.7% previously.
