Wijaya Lawrence joins Hartawan Holdings as president and executive chairman

He founded P.T. Wilton Wahana Indonesia, which is involved in trading in electronic and lighting products.

Hartawan Holdings announced the appointment of Wijaya Lawrence as president and executive chairman.

Mr Wijaya Lawrence, 55, will be responsible for the strategic planning, overall management and operations of the Group. He will also be a member of the Remuneration Committee.

In 2000, Wijaya Lawrence founded P.T. Wilton Wahana Indonesia ("PT WWI"), which was involved in the business of trading in electronic and lighting products. In 2007, Wijaya Lawrence was also involved in the business of trading of various natural resources, such as zirconium, lead and coal, exported from Indonesia to countries such as South Korea, India and the PRC, according to a Hartawan Holdings report.

In end 2010, Wijaya Lawrence decided to completely cease the business of PT WWI and focus on the gold mining business.
