HL Global Enterprises appoints Loo Hwee Fang as Director

Ms Loo is a partner in the a law firm Lee & Lee since 2006.

The appointment of Ms Loo Hwee Fang as an Independent Non-Executive Director was recommended by the Nominating Committee and approved by the Board, after taking into consideration Ms Loo's qualifications and extensive experience in the legal field. Pursuant to consultation by the Nominating Committee with each of the chairmen of the Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee and HL Global Enterprises Share Option Scheme 2006 Committee, the Nominating Committee has also recommended and the Board has approved Ms Loo's appointment as a member of the Audit Committee, Nominating Committee, Remuneration Committee and HL Global Enterprises Share Option Scheme 2006 Committee.

Ms Loo, 37, is a Partner in the Corporate Department of the law firm, Lee & Lee, a position held since 2006. She has been with the firm since 2000m according to an HL Global Enterprises report.

Her main area of legal practice is in corporate finance, capital markets and fund management and her scope of work includes advising on fund raising, takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, stock exchange procedures, compliance and corporate governance issues. She also advises and acts for foreign and local investment fund companies and fund managers, and for major corporations, banks and financial institutions on licensing and regulatory issues.
