STB launches tender for new wellness attraction at Marina South Coastal site
It seeks proposals with innovative and high-quality concepts that promote wellness.
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has initiated a concept and price revenue tender to develop and operate a new wellness attraction at the Marina South Coastal site.
Spanning four hectares along the waterfront, the site promises a prominent location for the upcoming wellness attraction, poised to become a cornerstone of the precinct. It will complement nearby landmarks like Gardens by the Bay, Founders’ Memorial in Bay East, and Marina Barrage.
STB is seeking innovative proposals featuring high-quality concepts that promote physical, emotional, and mental wellness.
Potential offerings range from therapeutic art and tech-driven therapies such as floatation and light-based treatments, to fitness activities and alternative health therapies.
The selected bidder must also commit to a robust schedule of wellness-themed events and programs, engaging both tourists and locals.
“With the rising demand for more restorative and wellness-related experiences, we believe Singapore is well-placed to be a leading Urban Wellness destination that prioritises holistic well-being,” said Carrie Kwik, executive director, World Expo and Special Projects, STB.
“This wellness attraction will contribute to Singapore’s tourism sector by giving travellers more compelling reasons to extend their stay and spend more in Singapore,” she added.
Open to both local and international entities, the tender will span three months, concluding with proposal submissions due by 4 October.
