Hotel Properties opens first Four Seasons hotel in Japan
This is the group’s first hospitality asset in Japan.
Hotel Properties Limited (HPL), renowned for its luxury hotel and resort portfolio in Singapore and globally, has announced the opening of its latest addition, the Four Seasons Hotel Osaka, its first hospitality asset in Japan.
The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka follows the recent debut of The Boathouse Tioman in Malaysia. It represents HPL's 15th Four Seasons hotel.
The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka features the city's first ryokan experience on a dedicated floor, located in the Dojima neighborhood within the new One Dojima multi-use building. The property is designed by Nikken Sekkei Ltd.
Key features of the new hotel include a contemporary ryokan experience with modern interpretations of traditional Japanese inns, such as green tea welcome ceremonies and luxury futon-style sleeping platforms. The hotel also offers diverse dining options, including authentic Cantonese cuisine at Jiang Nan Chun and inventive cocktails at Bar Bota.
Moreover, accommodations consist of 175 guest rooms and suites, each providing panoramic city views and serene retreats. The wellness and spa facilities, located on the 36th floor, feature Japanese-inspired treatments, an indoor pool, and a 24/7 fitness center.
“The launch of the Four Seasons Hotel Osaka is a significant milestone for HPL as our first property in Japan,” said Stephen Lau, chairman of HPL Hotels and Resorts. “It exemplifies our dedication to providing unparalleled luxury experiences and our ambition to expand strongly and steadily in key markets, especially in fast-growing Asia.”
