F1 Singapore Grand Prix to pull in about $150m in extra tourism receipts

80% of ticket inventory taken up as early as 1 Sept.

Tourists are expected to overcrowd the city in the run up to this year’s Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.

According to the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the F1 is expected to pull in about $100m in extra tourism receipts this year, according to STB.

On September 1, race promoter Singapore GP Pte Ltd announced that over 80% of the available ticket inventory has already been taken up.

Of these, seven ticket categories are already sold out. These are the Connaught Grandstand, Esplanade Waterfront Grandstand, Combination Package A, Combination Package B, Combination Package E, three-day Zone 4 Walkabout and Friday Zone 4 Walkabout tickets.

With limited inventory remaining for three general ticket categories, fans now have a last chance to purchase the Bay Grandstand, three-day Premier Walkabout and Sunday Pit Grandstand tickets.

In addition, the Pit Grandstand, Turn 1 Grandstand, Turn 2 Grandstand, Turn 3 Premier Grandstand, Stamford Grandstand and Combination Package G are selling fast.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
