The Singapore-Australia travel bubble will likely happen by the end of the year, according to Australian Minister for Trade and Investment Dan Tehan.

The travel bubble has been put on hold due to a third wave of COVID-19 in Australia.

Tehan is on an official visit to Singapore as a part of a tour of various countries to strengthen Australia’s trade relationships.

Temasek Holdings’ portfolio value likely hit a record 20% increase in the financial year ending in March, pushing the portfolio value to roughly $375b.

The state investor has bulked up funding to Singapore Airlines and offshore marine services firm Sembcorp Marine, amongst others, as a part of its support to pandemic-hit businesses.

Temasek is set to give details of its annual performance this week.
