6 in 10 Singaporean families embrace AI for travel planning

Popular media also influences their travel choices.

AI has gained significant influence amongst Singaporean families travelling, with six in ten intending to utilise this technology to plan their trips, Booking.com revealed.

Apart from AI,  popular media has also influenced families’ travel choices, with 50% saying they are inspired to try food they have seen on a show or movie.

In terms of travel motivations, Singaporean families are driven by destinations or activities that offer good value for money (50%), the chance to spend quality time abroad (54%), and the excitement of discovering new places (40%).

The top destinations Singapore families search for flights to are Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and Germany.

For accommodation searches, the top destinations are Kuah, Malaysia; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Los Angeles, USA; Jeju, South Korea; and Shanghai, China.

Meanwhile, Booking.com said travel nannies will also become a trend, with 28% of families likely to allocate part of their travel budget to having someone care for their children during a trip.
