Call your friends! Group gathering limit now lifted in SG

On the flip side, all workers can now return to the workplace.

Starting 26 April, more than 10 Singaporeans will be able to huddle in one place as the government lifts the gathering limit.

Since there will no longer be a cap on the number of individuals who can gather, safe distancing will likewise not be required.

The 75% capacity limit in settings/events that cater to less than 1,000 attendees has also been abolished.

Those gathering in indoor settings, however, will still be required to wear masks.

An exception to this rule would be workplaces. According to the Ministry of Health, workers returning to the office may remove their masks when they are not interacting physically with others and when they are not in customer-facing areas.

The workplace limit has also been lifted, and all workers can now return to the workplace starting Tuesday; however, the MOH still encourages employees "to retain and promote flexible work arrangements, such as telecommuting and staggered work hours, as a permanent feature of the workplace."

Meanwhile, the Vaccination-Differentiated SMMs (VDS) will also be removed from all settings starting 26 April, except for the following:

  • Events with >500 participants at any one time;
  • Nightlife establishments where dancing among patrons is one of the intended activities; and
  • Food and beverage (F&B) establishments, including restaurants, coffee shops, and hawker centres.

On travel, Singapore will no longer require a pre-departure test for fully vaccinated travelers and non-fully vaccinated children aged 12 and below arriving from 26 April 2022, 0001 hours to Singapore via air or sea.

In addition, from 1 May 2022, fully vaccinated non-Malaysian Work Permit Holders no longer need to apply for entry approvals to enter Singapore.

"Entry requirements for non-fully vaccinated travelers remain unchanged. All non-fully vaccinated travelers aged 13 and above who are allowed to enter Singapore are required to take a PDT within 2 days before departure for Singapore6, undergo a 7-day SHN, and take a Polymerase Chain Reaction COVID-19 test at the end of their SHN period," the MOH said.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
