Religare Health Trust names Gurpreet Singh Dhillon as Executive Director and COO

He will assist the CEO in managing the daily operations of Religare Health Trust Trustee Manager and Religare Health Trust.

The Board of Religare Health Trust announced the appointment of Gurpreet Singh Dhillon as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer.

Mr Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, 28, is a founding shareholder of Religare Enterprises Ltd (“REL”), the listed entity that holds Religare Health Trust Trustee Manager Pte. Ltd. Since being set up in 2001 REL has grown to become one of India’s largest Financial Services groups with a leading presence in sectors Broking, Insurance, Lending and asset management. He has been instrumental in helping REL build its investment banking and asset management ventures in emerging markets, according to a Religare Health Trust report.

From 2005 to 2011, Mr Dhillon was on the Board of Directors of Religare Capital Markets Plc, the investment banking arm of REL which focuses on emerging markets, where he was part of a team that acquired and financed several commercial real estate assets in the United Kingdom and India for third party clients. Mr Dhillon has advised clients on the acquisition of commercial real estate across India and the United Kingdom, such as structuring the relevant transaction efficiently from a regulatory and tax perspective, arranging financing and advising on the optimal use of assets.
