OUE Lippo Healthcare wins Wuxi land dispute

Weixin Hospital Investment Management has withdrawn its land litigation appeal.

The Wuxi Intermediate Court has ruled in favor of OUE in a land dispute case against Shanghai-based Weixin Hospital Investment Management over a property in China.

In a bourse disclosure, OUE announced that rival company Weixin Hospital Investment Management has withdrawn its land litigation appeal from the Wuxi Intermediate Court.

The 22,000 sqm property in Wuxi Jiangsu Province in China has been the subject of dispute between the two companies since 2017.

Weixin filed legal proceedings against OUE, which was initially dismissed by the Wuxi Xinwu District Court in November 2019. Weixin filed an appeal at the Wuxi Intermediate Court in December 2019.

Whilst the appeal was ongoing, Weixin filed separate legal proceedings on other matters. This affected Weixin's view on its own dispute.

OUE received information on 22 March that the Wuxi Intermediate Court accepted Weixin's application to withdraw the land litigation appeal.
