MyDoc partners up with Homage to provide affordable onsite healthcare

Homage nurses can soon consult with doctors via video services from a patient’s home or office.

Healthtech startup MyDoc has teamed up with personalised nursing provider Homage to provide affordable onsite healthcare service, an announcement revealed.

There will reportedly be two patient care models under the partnership comprising of expanding onsite clinics which will be staffed by nurses who are supported by remote doctors.They will also expand clinic care capabilities to enable patient follow up care at home and redistribute patient load from a busy clinic to a one that can absorb the additional load.

“MyDoc will train Homage nurses and certify telenurses to monitor patient oxygen levels, heart rate, respiration, blood glucose and more. Patients will be able to contact their nurses through MyDoc to get help,” the firms highlighted in a joint statement. “Nurses will also be able to launch teleconsults with doctors from patients’ homes or offices to provide comprehensive doctor and nurse care, just like in brick and mortar clinics or hospitals, but at an affordable cost for each onsite visit and consult.”

A 2018 study by the Lien Foundation and the National University of Singapore (NUS), found that home care services are overtaking nursing homes as a primary form of long-term care in Singapore, especially as the country is estimated to possess an aged population of around 1 million people by 2030.
