Say goodbye to horror medical stories: GetDoc helps you find the right doctor for you

Users can book an appointment from over 15,000 doctors in Singapore.

When it comes to healthcare, access must be available for everyone. Unfortunately, more of than not, patients across Asia are playing a game of chance with their health on the line. Hospital horror stories of long waiting times, unprofessionalism, incomplete check-ups, poor bedside treatments among others are common episodes for many patients. To alleviate the problem, IT firm Jireh Group launched a mobile application called GetDoc where users can connect with doctors smoothly. GetDoc matches patients' healthcare needs with the right doctors.

Beyond being just an appointment-booking app, GetDoc is also a doctor-review platform for patients to make better informed decisions on over 60,000 doctors in Singapore/Malaysia. The app will help users keep track of appointments for their family and friends.

GetDoc is a brainchild of Woon Shung Toon who is also the head for strategy with Yvonne Chong as the head of Business Development. Shung Toon explained that Jireh Group is determined to significantly improve the overall experience from searches to visits to post care. They want to build an app that will ease the burden of managing care.

“Finding a reliable and professional doctor is a lot of hard work, there is a large variation in the quality of care, GetDoc will change all that,” said Shung Toon.

GetDoc is unique in a way that users can get a great selection of doctors based on location, availability, specialty and insurance coverage to make instant bookings. Users can look through verified reviews on the doctors' qualifications, ratings and comments from previous GetDoc patients. With over 15,000 doctors in Singapore and 45,0000 doctors in Malaysia, this allows the best of them to build their online reputation and reach more patients. As for doctors, Shung Toon said that they will be able to see greater exposure to patients, build up loyalty and deepen engagement through this platform.

To gain further traction around the region, the GetDoc app is free for users -available on both AppStore and Google Play. While doctors who want to list their clinic on the app will be paying a yearly subscription fee.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.

30 One-Sentence Stories From People Who Have Built Better Habits
None of these stories are mine. They were sent to me by readers of Atomic Habits. My hope is that these examples will illustrate how real people are putting the book into practice. They will show you what people are actually doing to build good habits and break bad ones. And hopefully, they will spark some ideas for how you can do the same.
