Japan Foods names Liew Kian Er, Kenneth as Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Liew was promoted from being a Financial Controller to his present position.

The Board of Japan Foods appoints Liew Kian Er, Kenneth as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Liew is presently the Financial Controller of Japan Foods Holding Ltd. As a progression of his present role with the Company and the Group, the Board would like to re-designate and promote him to be the Chief Financial Officer.

His current responsibility includes overseeing all financial, accounting and corporate secretarial matters of the Group. He has more than 20 years of experience in accountancy, audit and finance, according to a Japan Foods report.

Prior to joining the Group in July 2008, he was the finance manager of Abterra Ltd from January 2007 to March 2007 and the financial controller of Abterra Ltd from March 2007 to July 2008. He was the associate of Bensyl Consultancy Services Pte. Ltd. from May 2004 to December 2006. He was the accounting manager of Sunstar Logistic Singapore Pte. Ltd. from July 1997 to March 2002 and the deputy general manager of Sunstar Logistic Singapore Pte. Ltd. from April 2002 to April 2004. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (UK).
