Mondelēz unveils $5m regional snacks lab and innovation kitchen in Singapore

It will expand the capabilities of its Singapore Technical Centre.

Mondelēz International launched its $5m Regional Biscuit and Baked Snacks Lab and Innovation Kitchen in Singapore which will boost its innovation and product development in the biscuits and baked snacks category. 

In a statement, the company said the facility, which will improve product development across Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, will bank on and expand the capabilities of its existing 2006 Singapore Technical Centre. 

The centre was further expanded in 2018 to include a focus on the development of the gum and candy category.

The technical centre has capabilities in the areas of product development, packaging, process technology development, consumer science, analytical science,

ingredient research, and scientific and regulatory affairs.

“This expansion further enhances the capabilities of our Singapore Technical Centre and reaffirms our commitment and contribution to the country, which serves as the headquarters for our Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa business,” said Deepak Iyer, Executive Vice President & President AMEA, Mondelēz International.
