F&B sales growth slows to 1.0% YoY in July
In June, sales grew by 1.9% YoY.
Food and beverage (F&B) sales grew by 1.0 YoY in July, a weaker growth compared to June, when sales grew by 1.9% YoY.
Month-on-month, sales grew by 0.6%.
Sales value clocked in at $989m. Of the total sales value, 23.8% was from online sales.
According to the Department of Statistics Singapore (Singstat), two of the four industries recorded year-on-year sales growth in July, led by Food Caterers, which posted an 18.8 YoY increase.
Cafes, Food Courts and Other Eating Places was the other industry. It recorded a 2.5% YoY sales increase.
On the other hand, Fast Food Outlets and Restaurants reported a 6.6% YoY and 3.7% YoY decline in sales.
