ThaiBev renews glass bottle purchase deal with BJC

Contract will be extended for another 3 years.

In a release, Thai Beverage announced the renewal of its glass bottle purchase agreement with Berli Jucker Public Company Limited (BJC).

ThaiBev noted that the original purchase agreement, dated December 23, 2009, was due to expire on 31 December 2012. In line with this, ThaiBev and BJC inked a new Glass Botle Purchase Agreement dated December 27, 2012 for a term of three years, effective from January 1, 2013 - December 31, 2015.

The terms under the new agreement were negotiated at arm's length on normal commercial terms with the main changes involving the purchase prices which will be adjusted based on the change in the cost of certain major materials, the compensation on under-lifted/undelivered quantity specified in the agreement and the additional charges on the change of glass colours and designs at specific percentage of ordered quantity.
