ThaiBev joins Dow Jones Sustainability Indices emerging markets family

It achieved perfect score in five areas of sustainability.

As it paves the road to sustainability, Thai Beverage Company Ltd. unveiled that it has been selected as component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI).

This news came after the latest annual RobecoSAM Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), which ThaiBev manage to get a score of 84 out of 100.

According to the group, the said score far exceeds the beverage industry score of 50 and hovers near the industry best score of 90.

They furthered that the group achieved perfect score in five areas including brand management, health & nutrition, environmental reporting, water related risks, and Corporate Citizenship.

ThaiBev President Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi said inclusion in the DJSI family is a milestone for the corporate history of the group, noting how it validates ThaiBev's increasing efforts to become highly sustainable.

This is the result of an organisation-wide drive towards greater sustainability that is built upon our longstanding corporate citizenship initiatives and crystallised by our publication of sustainability reports in accordance to the Global Reporting Initiative’s G4 Guidelines in recent years,” he said.
