Feast on Hua Ting's Dumpling Festival

What better way to celebrate two Hua Ting Masterchefs' culinary wins than with new savory dumpling creations at the dumpling festival on 1 June to 23 June?

Hua Ting Restaurant, the exquisite Chinese restaurant serving the intricate tastes of Cantonese delicacies, announced in a news release 2 grand reasons to celebrate: Group Masterchef Chan Kwok was inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame and Masterchef Lap Fai was crowned Asian Cuisine Chef of the Year, at the World Gourmet Series Awards of Excellence 2012.

To celebrate this double achievement, both Masterchefs have created a new Traditional flavour. Guests can look forward to savouring Hua Ting’s new creation and other mouthwatering flavours from 1 June to 23 June.

Those with a love for taro will delight in the new creation Rice Dumpling with Braised Pork in Five Spices, Dried Shrimp & ‘Li Pu’ Yam, $8.80. The inspiration from this dish came from one of Hua Ting’s signature dishes - Deep-Fried Yam Pastry. A premium root from China, ‘Li Pu’ Yam is known for its creamy texture pairs perfectly well with meat.

Those craving after the savoury will also enjoy the all-time favourite signature Rice Dumpling with Roasted Meat in Hong Kong style, $14.80. This rectangular pillow shaped dumpling is packed with freshly roasted duck and meat, scallops, mushrooms, salted egg yolk, fragrant chestnuts and dried lotus seeds.

Prepared with red bean paste the Rice Dumpling stuffed with Red Bean Paste, $6.80, is a tantalising treat which doubles as a dessert.
