Winson Yap named Chief Executive Officer of Transamerica Life Bermuda Singapore

Transamerica Life (Bermuda) Ltd. (Transamerica Life Bermuda), one of Asia’s leading High Net Worth life insurance providers, today announced the appointment of Winson Yap as Chief Executive Officer of its Singapore branch office.

Yap will have responsibility for driving Transamerica Life Bermuda’s business growth in Singapore and further enhancing product development, distribution and operations. He will report to Damiaan Jacobovits de Szeged, President and CEO of Transamerica Life Bermuda, and will be a member of the Transamerica Life Bermuda Management Team.

“Winson brings a wealth of knowledge to Transamerica Life Bermuda in diversified multi-channel distribution, strategic business development, product development and distribution operations,” said Jacobovits de Szeged. “We are delighted to have Winson on board, and I am confident that with his background and passion for growth we will continue to enhance our product and service offering, while building greater ties with partners and clients.”

Prior to joining Transamerica Life Bermuda, Yap most recently served as the Chief Distribution Officer at Professional Investment Advisory Services Singapore where he spearheaded business development and product strategy. He has also held senior management positions at Tokio Marine Life Insurance, AXA Life Insurance, Manulife Financial and John Hancock Life Insurance.

“I am thrilled to be joining Transamerica Life Bermuda,” said Yap. “As one of the recognised experts on the High Net Worth life insurance market in Asia, the company has experienced sustained growth in recent years through its commitment to delivering exceptional service and high-performing products. I see great opportunity to build on that success and deliver even greater value to our business partners and clients in Singapore and across Asia.”

Yap's  appointment was effective from 19 April 2016.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.

None of these stories are mine. They were sent to me by readers of Atomic Habits. My hope is that these examples will illustrate how real people are putting the book into practice. They will show you what people are actually doing to build good habits and break bad ones. And hopefully, they will spark some ideas for how you can do the same.
