Manulife Singapore hires Annette King as President & CEO

Her 20-yr all-around experience and track record of outperforming targets made her qualified for the position.

Manulife (Singapore) Pte Ltd. has appointed Annette King to be its President and Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. King is responsible for the overall development of Manulife's business operation in Singapore.

This includes individual life insurance, private financial services for the high net worth market and wealth management – a business unit providing Unit Trust and other financial instruments for wealth building and protection.

Annette has extensive international experience with Asian market knowledge. She has 20 years of experience in the financial services and consulting sectors, having held key roles in marketing, finance, office administration, actuarial, product pricing & development, client management and portfolio administration services in Australia and Singapore. Her most recent position was Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer with a major European insurance company in Singapore, after serving as its Chief Financial Officer. With the same firm, she was General Manager of a major business unit in Australia.

Annette is results driven with track record of outperforming targets. She is a visionary leader with the experience to grow business through innovation and strategic development. With her strong financial, marketing and client management background, she will be a key asset to Manulife Singapore.

Originally from Australia, Annette holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Macquarie University, Sydney. She is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, a Fellow of the Singapore Actuarial Society and a Council Member.
