Singapore regains regional lead in ECM deals
Market share bounced back to 45%.
Dealogic reports that Singapore was the leading nation in the South East Asia region for equity capital market (ECM) deals in 1Q 2013 for the first time since 4Q 2011 with 45% market share.
ECM volume was significantly higher at $3.9bn via 18 deals from $679m raised via 12 deals in 1Q 2012, with Indonesia and Thailand following at a far second and third with 20% and 14%, respectively.
South East Asia ECM reached $8.7bn in 1Q 2013, up 120% from $4.0bn raised in the same period last year, but down 7% on 4Q 2012 ($9.4bn), according to Dealogic.
