SIAS publishes book on defending minority shareholders through diplomacy

The book is edited by Aaron Low.

The Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS) published a book on how to uphold minority shareholders’ rights against corporate giants through diplomacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

The book titled “Boardroom Knockout: How Singapore’s Investor Watchdog Fights for Minority Shareholders” looks at key moments in the watchdog’s history as it navigated some of Singapore's biggest corporate scandals and crises.

It was edited by Aaron Low, author of the business bestseller Behind the Banyan: Ho Kwon Ping on Building a Global Brand, and features contributions from six other writers: Grace Ng, Toh Wen Li, Derek Wong, Jaime Niam, Pearl Lee, and Matthew Gan.

The book was created through extensive interviews with SIAS founder, president, and CEO David Gerald, along with past and present committee members, industry leaders, and academics.

The book will be soft launched at SIAS’ Corporate Governance Conference on 16 September at Parkroyal Collection, Marina Bay, Singapore, and officially launched at SIAS’ Investors’ Choice Awards on 17 September at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, Grand Ballroom, Level 1.
