DBS to boost hiring of financial advisers in 2021

This will include hiring for the newly created insurance consultant role.

DBS will double its recruitment of financial planning advisers this year, with plans to hire more than 650 wealth planning managers and insurance consultants, a statement read.

The newly created insurance consultant role is supported by Manulife Singapore and allows for flexible hours and independence of a traditional financial advisor, whilst providing the institutional support and benefits akin to those enjoyed by DBS’ wealth planning managers.

The consultants will have access to resources from DBS and Manulife, including financial planning tools, training programmes, DBS’ broad customer base, and access to DBS meeting spaces in branches.

They will also be able to leverage insights from DBS NAV Planner, with the customer’s consent.
