AllianzGI launches platform for mainstream access to ESG data

The proprietary sustainability data platform will be released first to AllianzGI investment professionals.

Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) recently announced the launch of the Sustainability Insights Engine (SusIE), a “state-of-the-art” digital platform for accessible environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) data.

With the intent to mainstream ESG data, the software also targets to enable investors better navigate through ESG data and satisfy current and future client needs.

“ESG disclosures and complexity will only grow and the addition of further information to disclose will result in an even more challenging data system to report and understand,” AllianzGI said.

The platform, SusIE, is a web-based user interface which computes outsourced ESG data from multiple providers and AllianzGI proprietary scores and research inputs.

The platform includes data-cleaning and organising into a desired data set, which will be open for all-consuming systems such as front-office, research, compliance, risk, and client reporting tools.

Developed by an in-house Sustainability Methodologies and Analytics team in 2021, SusIE will be made available first to AllianzGI investment professionals.
