Deutsche Bank unveils Asia Pacific Innovation Lab in Singapore

The move is a part of its strategy to further digitise client solutions.

Deutsche Bank has unveiled its first Asia Pacific Innovation Lab in Singapore, according to a media release.

The Innovation Lab aims to forge connections with startups with technology-powered value propositions that could enable the bank to serve its client base better. In exchange, startups can access the bank’s clients, industry expertise and ready-made infrastructure.

“The establishment of our newest Innovation Lab in Singapore is just the latest expression of our continued commitment and investment in our Asia Pacific platform, where we see abundant opportunity,” Werner Steinmueller, CEO of Deutsche Bank Asia Pacific, said in a statement.

The innovation lab will also ensure that the innovation needs of the bank’s Asia Pacific businesses are plugged into its global innovation platform.

“The APAC Innovation Lab in Singapore completes our global network, and will allow us to source the best startups globally to address business needs wherever they may arise,” Deutsche Bank’s Head of Innovation Luc Mériochaud added. 

Deutsche Bank’s Innovation Lab network now spans from Berlin, London, New York and Palo Alto.
