Singapore Fintech Association launches Fintech Foundation Program Flex

The programme is done in partnership with 10x1000 Tech

Singapore Fintech Association (SFA) will launch its Fintech Foundation Program Flex. 

The programme was done through a partnership with 10x1000 and aims to bring in 100 Flex learners. The scheduled initiation of the program is in October. 

SG Fintech members can also apply through the SFA.

Shadab Taiyabi, president of SFA, explained how this programme will serve as a way of supplementing the shift towards digital adoption.

“With 90% of fintech companies in Singapore planning to grow their workforce over the next 12 months, continuous education, mentorship, and training opportunities are critical to bridging the demand for talents. We are excited to work closely with 10x1000, and the collaboration marks another milestone in SFA’s ongoing efforts of forging industry partnerships to provide local professionals with the opportunity to further build their expertise to stay relevant and competitive,” Taiyabi said.

Eric Jing, chairman and CEO of Ant Group, owner and operator of Alipay, also highlighted the benefits that this program and partnership will bring in terms of fintech knowledge.

“I am excited that learners from 10x1000’s new Flex program will gain the fintech knowledge that they need to support their communities, and help bring us closer to meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," said Jing.

The current partnership with SFA is only one of 10x1000’s efforts to strengthen collaboration worldwide. IFC, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, UN World Food Programme, as well as fintech associations from Hong Kong, Malaysia, MENA, and the Philippines are some of those that already partnered with 10x1000.
