Singapore businessmen eye North Korean investments

Some businessmen received invitations for a delegation in North Korea a day after the Kim-Trump summit.

Reuters reported that nearly 20 Singaporean businessmen might visit North Korea to check on possible ventures as they are anticipating better ties with the countries after Singapore's hosting of the US-North Korea summit. 

Nearly 20 Singaporean businesses people are expected to visit North Korea to explore opportunities there, an executive said on Thursday, in anticipation of better ties after Singapore played host to a North Korea-U.S. summit

Singapore business consultant Michael Heng received his invitation for a delegation to North Korea the day after the summit where US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un agreed to work on denuclearizing the Korean peninsula. 

Before the UN sanctions posted for North Korea due to their nuclear programs, Singapore was its seventh largest trading partner but  Singapore cancelled the work passes of North Koreans following the sanction.
