SG, US to take partnership to ‘greater heights’
The two counties will be now cooperating in areas such as space exploration.
PM Lee Hsien Loong said Singapore will be taking its partnership with the United States to “even greater heights.”
In a press conference, Lee said he was able to discuss with US Vice President Kamala Harris ways how to improve the two countries’ collaboration on cybersecurity, sustainability, and space exploration.
On sustainability, Lee said the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) on green and sustainable projects will be expanded.
On space exploration, Lee shared that Singapore has recently joined the US-led Artemis Accords, becoming the first Southeast Asian country to do so.
